Due to the many different combinations of motor, heads, water
pumps, and power steering pumps, choosing the correct bracket
system is not always easy. It is important to us at ZOOPS
that our customers choose the proper bracket system for their
application. The following drawings of factory hole locations
in the various heads should help assist you in recognizing
your application. Compare these drawings with your heads to
help determine the correct choice of brackets. Please note
that the hole configurations, not the outside
perimeters of the heads, is the important factor in making
your comparison.
Ford Posi-Trak and Correct-Align alternator and air conditioner compressor brackets (for 289/302 and 351 SVO motors 1970 and up)
These patented, adjustable brackets are designed to be used with the following:
- Ford short water pump #M8501A50 kit for serpentine reverse rotation
- Ford short water pump #M8501-E351S, timing cover #M6059-D351 for V-belt
- Ford damper #M6316-K351 (351 motor) and Ford damper #E4TZ-6316A (289/302 motor) Ford damper #M6316-M50 (289/302 motor)
- GM 1 or 3 wire alternator
- Sanden 508 air conditioner compressor
- GM late model type 2 remote power steering pump
